WEEK SUMMER SILENT RETREAT - 21st - 28th August 2026

This week silent retreat wants to give space and time to connect and strengthen our relationship with God, to reflect about life and be empowered/ re-energised to live our lives more connected with God, with our deepest self and with others.

It will start on Friday, 21st August at 7.30pm and finish on Friday 28th August at lunchtime. Each day will start with morning prayer, there will be 2 main inputs, rosary, daily Mass, adoration, opportunity for spiritual accompaniment of your prayer and sacrament of Reconciliation.

It will take place in the Verbum Dei Retreat Centre on the Isle of Wight; a beautiful place surrounded by nature, at the centre of the island.

We can give lifts from the 6pm redfunnel ferry (Southampton to East Cowes, Isle of Wight). If you arrive in another time, to East Cowes or to Ryde, you could take the bus to Newport, and we can pick you up in the central bus station. The Retreat Centre is located in Nunnery Lane, Carisbrooke, PO301YR.

The team of facilitators of the retreat are the missionary sisters Margarida Londral and Anne Marie D'Souza.
