About this event

DYA Study Day: Human Origins - Creation & Evolution

How do we reconcile the claims of modern science with the teaching of the Catholic Church? Are human beings nothing more than products of an aimless evolutionary process?

Join us for a Dominican Young Adult study day in Leicester led by Fr Robert Verrill OP on 'theistic evolution': how to make sense of modern science's theory of evolution in light of Catholic teaching on God, creation, and the human person. How do we explain the soul if the human body is merely a product of evolution? Is the Doctrine of Original Sin compatible with evolution, and was there any 'evil' in the world before the fall?

The day will include talks, workshops, prayer, fellowship, and discussion, and lunch will be provided. There is no cost to attend, but booking is essential.
